My Money Mate is an AI-powered financial health assessment app designed to help users better understand their financial situation and receive personalized recommendations.
The project started as a redesign and mobile adaptation of an existing web platform that suffered from usability issues, unclear user journeys, and low feature adoption. The goal was to rethink the experience from a mobile-first perspective and create a more intuitive product foundation.
Understanding the product
The existing platform contained a large number of features and AI-driven assessments, but the overall experience felt fragmented and difficult to navigate.
To better understand the space, I conducted:
- competitor analysis;
- audience research;
- persona creation;
- user flow mapping;
- cognitive walkthroughs of key scenarios.
The objective was to identify the shortest path between user onboarding, financial assessment, and receiving actionable insights.
