Context
HS-Soft provides POS systems for bakeries and cafes. I worked on the company's internal console, used to monitor client POS devices and manage their software versions.
Goal
Client devices were split into release groups with different stability requirements, but support could only update them one by one or release to everyone at once. My task was to let them deploy updates to specific groups in bulk.
Outcome
After interviews with support and three rounds of prototyping, the feature shipped to production. Support no longer updates devices manually, spends noticeably less time on releases and can roll out to lower-risk groups first.
